Whole Earth Festival
For the 40th year, the Whole Earth Festival arrives in tie-dye, tamborine in hand. The popular event begins at noon May 8 and runs through 6 p.m. May 10.
Its mission is to create a community-driven festival of education, music and art with underlying themes of generating as little ‘waste’ as possible, serving organic produce, and educating festival-goers about frugality and ecological sustainability.
But for most folks, the Whole Earth Festival is about arts and crafts, fantastic food and three days of entertainment. The campus site will have two live music stages, a DJ pit of electronica, the “soular” dance stage, and other musical and performance spaces.
